The typical cuisine in the Sorrento Coast is mainly linked to the Neapolitan tradition and offers sea and land dishes. The different areas make good use of their local products such as lemons, olive oil, and mozzarella and the cooks prepare simple and tasty dishes using the scents of the sea, spices, and local ingredients.
This tour offers the opportunity to enjoy a day in the Sorrento Coast among nature and the food and wine products of our incredible land.
We will visit typical Sorrentine factories to witness the preparation of the famous sorrentine liqueur “Limoncello”, made from local lemons, and top-quality extra virgin olive oil. The Mediterranean climate, the volcanic nature of the soil, the variety of the olives, made this oil a unique product, whose typical characteristics are recognized by the European Community with the prestigious DOP (Protected Denomination of Origin) mark. There will also be delicious tasting experiences.
An exciting stage of our gastronomic excursion will allow us to see the transformation of simple milk into mozzarella in real time and taste the flavours of freshly made mozzarella: nothing better!
