Tour Description

The excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum are the only better-preserved archaeological sites in the world and give an accurate snapshot of how a real Roman town was structured.

Once inside Pompeii you can admire the Forum area, the commercial hub of the city, observe the ancient shops, the Comitium, where electoral proceedings were held. You can visit the three Temples of Apollo, Venus and Jupiter, the House of the Faun and the House of Sallust. Of great emotional impact will be arriving in the area of The Garden of the Fugitives, which preserves the casts of the bodies of 13 people, adults and children, who were trying to escape from the violence of the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.

At Herculaneum, on the other hand, you will be able to admire, among the most important domus, the House of the Deer, with its beautifully decorated rooms and a panoramic terrace overlooking the sea, the Villa of the Papyri, which housed a library with more than one thousand eight hundred papyri, the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, one of the most beautiful buildings discovered, with its splendid mosaic decorations, and also the House of the Mosaic Atrium and the House of Argos.

A tour that will thrill you as you retrace the footsteps of the past.
